The outcome was close run ... so all to play for in future matches ...
Carvoeiro 184 points

Vila Sol 177
Hi Ladies
Just to keep you updated since my last email. As you all know, I have been trying to organise four games of golf between the four Pestana Courses, Silves, Alto, Vila Sol and Carvoeiro Club. We have decided it would be nice for 40 ladies to play at each event. You can enter as many as you wish and hopefully all four at each course.
Saturday 29th September saw the club stage its first ever Portuguese Day. SdM has a large contingent of local members and the turnout was fantastic. Hopefully this will become an annual event, probably moving to early June next year.
The prizes were local wines and olive oil. There was a great turnout and the eventual individual winners were:
Carlos Pereira (Portugal) and David Monk (International) both with 38 points.
Team winners: Francisco Pina, Brian Probert, Sally Hoyer-Kruse and Dave Brennan.
Thanks to Miguel Heliodoro, David and Mags Taylor for the time and effort put into running the day.
Many congratulations to Serra de Monchique member Marco Duarte who has won first place in the second category of the Solverde Casinos Golf Circuit.
The Club celebrated Presidents Day on Saturday 22nd September.
In glorious weather a large entry competed fiercely for the prize of the Presidents Jug and afterwards enjoyed a great lunch. Thanks to George and Lynn for providing a great day and to David and Mags for their organisation.

Yesterday, Thursday September 20th was Mandy Monks last ladies day before her and David return to the UK to live. Mandy and David have lived here for the last twenty two years and Mandy has been organising Ladies day for quite some time.
