This years Annual Christmas Party and Presentation Evening proved to be a great success. Welcomed by Captain Geoff Cox members were given Champagne to start their evening. A full 3 course Christmas meal was served by the Pestana Staff.
After the meal began the presentations, starting with the earlier Christmas Hamper Competition which was won by Ray Groves, Eileen Groves, Gary Edwards and Gill Edwards. The Knockouts and Club Championship prizes were then presented.

Last Thursday saw the dream team of Gill Edwards, Annie Chapman, Paula Luijt and Paullette Usher take first prize on the second ladies Christmas event and lunch Organized by Eileen Groves .
Twenty ladies turned up to play on a damp Thursday morning as with previous years there was buzz of excitement even before anyone teed off.

Saturday saw this years annual carols in the clubhouse. Again lead by Mags on the keyboard members enjoyed a hearty sing along. With mince pies and sausage rolls in abundance merriment was the order of the day.
56 players enjoyed yet another lovely December day, although when organiser Dave Tweed arrived at Silves golf course at 7.15 everything outside was covered with white frost! So, 14 teams played the Seattles Shambles game in which the best drive from the team is selected, but everyone plays their own ball after that.
